Your Articulate ID is the email address and password you used when you signed up for a free trial or bought a subscription. After signing in, click Download Desktop Apps on the right sidebar. Click Start Download and save the installation file on your computer. Right-click the installation file and choose Run as administrator. When the installer launches, click Install Now. When the installation is complete, click Finish. The Articulate desktop app will automatically open. If you're prompted to sign in, use your Articulate ID email address and password again.

We just had to recreate several courses due to this and it's rework and a pain to start over again. I'm so sorry that happened to you, Alicia. I can understand why that would be painful!
Thanks for adding your voice to this request. I can't imagine there would ever be a technical way for Articulate to turn uploaded content back to a Storyline file, because of how different they are I know having the option to include a copy of the Storyline project would increase storage space, but I'd personally be willing to publish less versions of my projects in lieu of space for the source file.
